Infinity

INFINITY

Infinity is a proof of concept for integrating an infinity mirror into a small form factor case. The case is made out of powder-coated aluminum and features two wraparound side panels for a clean aesthetic. There are two top-mounted 92mm fans for exhaust while cool air is passively pulled through each side panel. The ventilation pattern for this case provides a high open/closed ratio for good airflow while remaining structurally rigid and efficient to laser cut. The wraparound side panels were designed to be symmetrical, which significantly reduces the cost of manufacturing.

The front LED mirror is comprised of two acrylic mirrors and an addressable LED strip diffused by white acrylic. The gap between the LED’s and diffuser was determined by the LED strip pitch to provide optimal diffusion. The LED strip is controlled by an ESP8266 on a simple breakout board I designed and fabricated through JLCPCB.
